TV Cabo will invest 110 million Euros to digitize its network
The Portuguese digital platform has predicted to replace its present receivers TV boxes by the known ones like power boxes with the aim of fighting the piracy

The new digital system of TV Cabo will allow a greater security and protection of the audio-visual industry, according to has assured Zeinal Dribble, executive president gives to PT Multimedia.

Through the new decoders to power box the viewers will be able to use the system of multiscreens to follow their equipment from several positions in a soccer match, or option of multigames.

The receiver also has the Replay service, that allows to aceder to a program one hour after to have initiated. System PVR (personal video to recorder), in period of tests, will be able to facilitate the simultaneous recording in of programs later being able to be seen.

TV Cabo already reserved to 26 million Euros the last year to pay for the substitution of the TV boxes by power boxes and for this 2005 it will invest of 70 to 80 million to culminate the process of digitalization of the network that began in 1999.
