The autonomic chain Andalusian invests more than ten million Euros with the aim of digitizing its news department thinking about the beginning of the terrestrial digital TV
South channel Television decided, by means of public contest, to adjudge to the company Promotora de Video S.A. (Promovisa) “the ready to use” provision, an integrated edition system, emission and file of the news, that, by a total amount of 10.430.044 Euros, a digitalization of its informative systems will allow him to culminate in 2006 to drive the future Terrestrial Digital Television.
The public being Andalusian informed into which in charge system “will reduce the operation costs, will elevate the emission security and will shorten the time of elaboration of the news”, thus allowing, to have anyone of the audio-visual contents in all the jobs of its different writings. In this sense, it announced that “it will be the advanced system more of the installed ones in Spain to date”.
On the other hand, the maximum term of execution of the project is of 18 months and, when it is implanted, South Channel “will increase of remarkable way its production of the news, thanks to the fact that it will have new tools to win in immediacy of emission and one better documentation of the contents”.
To the summoned public contest for the acquisition of the project, five originating supplies of the more reliable and prestigious companies “of national and international scope” appeared. These organizations are, besides Promovisa, Integral Services Unitecnic S.L; Telefónica Servicios Audiovisuales S.A. Thomson Broadcast Multimedia and Solutions Ibérica S.A. the U.T.E. Vitel S.A.
In the end, the Contracting board of South Channel Television proposed the awarding to the company Promotora de Video S.A. that “obtained the highest score after the technical and economic valuation”.
