The past month of August the Community of Madrid adjudged these new legal channels of which 30 will be managed by physical people or that presented/displayed their request to the public contest that was summoned in the month of December, whereas the ten remaining channels are in the hands of the city councils.
Between the companies awardees they are Unedisa Telecommunications, LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY, Digital Freedom TV, Uniprex Television SLU, Wireless Initiatives and of TV. LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY, Digital Television Madrid, 7 Channel and Digital Kiss that will operate in the demarcations of Alcala de Henares, Alcobendas, Aranjuez, Fuenlabrada, Madrid, Móstoles, Pozuelo de Alarcón, and San Martin de Valdeiglesias.

The City council of Madrid will destine six million Euros to start up the next year its new television channel, whose signs of identity will be the culture, the economy and the tourism, and will try to promote the city, according to today informed the adviser delegated into Economy, Miguel Villanueva Angel, during the presentation of the budget of its area of Government.
According to Villanueva, its work will consist of a supply of useful and practical data for the citizens and the visitors during 24 hours to the day, and of the involution of the identity and the personality of the city. One is a promotion window through which we are going to show the best thing of Madrid from all scopes: the economic one, tourist and the cultural one, emphasized.
After assuring that the design of the daily grill of the channel already almost is planned, Villanueva advanced that they will not emit informative services because, in its words, is not going to be a channel to the use, but in an emission that will concentrate in the scopes of the culture, economy and the culture.
In addition, it said that for its beginning the City council is pending of the authorization of the Community of Madrid, although clarified that the municipal Administration already has granted the operation of this channel, that will be assigned to the company “Madrid Promotion”, in that have participation the three municipal groups, PP, PSOE and IU.
In this sense, it explained that the operation will be realized through indirect management, and did not want to make specific that will realize that management, although the control contained and of the programming at any moment will be designed by the City council of Madrid.
Finally, Villanueva insisted on which the vocation of the local Executive is that the new local digital television sees in the majors possible sites, including the meter network. We are open to arrive at all the sites, but so far he is too premature to know where it will be possible to be seen. We are working to try that it is possible to be seen through satellite and in the Madrilenian homes through a decoder, concluded.
