The penetration of the Terrestrial Digital Television “continues in progressive increase” in the first trimester of 2006 with 30.5% of implantation in the Spanish homes (an increase of 2.5 points), reaching therefore 12% of the total hearing, according to the last report of the Association for the Implantation and Development of the Terrestrial Digital Television, Impel TDT.
Little less than two years so that the definitive cease of analogical emissions takes place, anticipated for the 3 of April of 2010, all the indicators of implantation of the new digital technology they continue growing of satisfactory way. Estoe explains that the sales of analogical televisions have fallen a 45% with respect to the monthly average of the past year.
The sale of tuners TDT has already reached the number of 9.3 million units, of which almost half million correspond to the last month of February. In addition, for the first time, from the launching of the digital technology, the total number of receivers TDT integrated in Spain surpasses to the one of external receivers (4.734.000 equipment integrated against 4.559.000 external decoders), which comes to certify, the importance of the new televisions of flat screen in the implantation of the TDT.
