BBC World happens to denominate BBC World News
The signal of the British international channel is distributed from now on through 16 satellites worldwide adopting the name of BBC World News to identify it with its informative programming

BBC World News can attract in the majority of the cases in abierto through the satellites Intelsat 7/10, Intelsat 9, Intelsat 12, Intelsat 904, NSS 6, Eutelsat Hot IBRD 6, Eutelsat W2, Eutelsat W3A, Eutelsat W4/Sesat, Badr-4, Astra 1L, Astra 3A, Thor 5, Masters 1/2, Hispasat 1C and NileSat 101.

Its name change coindex also with the one of BBC News 24 through Astra satellite 2A (28,2º This), that happens to re-baptize itself like BBC News. As already adelnató this vestibule, with this name change is tried to update the formats of both chains, as well as to relaunch them at world-wide level.

Thus, BBC World will adopt the new name of BBC World 24, whereas BBC News 24 happens to be called BBC News.

In the case of Europe, BBC World emits in open through Astra satellite (19,2º This) in the frequency 11.597-V MHz (MR. 22000, FEC 5/6) and in the satellite Eutelsat Hot IBRD (13º This) in the frequency 12.597-V (MR. 27500, FEC 3/4). BBC World also is present in other satellites as the Hispasat (30º the West) but TV Cabo emits cofificado comprising of the supply of the Portuguese platform.
