Khalid Balkheyour, president Arabsat, have showed that Badr 6 is a satellite multi-mission that will provide to the countries of the Arab world and the environs the services of direct television and connections to broadband Internet, with the capacity necessary to be able to adapt to the growth anticipated in the market of the television of High resolution fast.

Badr 6, fruit of an association between EADS Astrium and Thales Alenia Space, will allow Arabsat to transmit programs of television to more than 130 million viewers from Morocco to the Persian Gulf, happening through great part of sub-Sahara Africa.

It is equipped with 20 transponders of Ku band and 24 of C band. It will provide services of television in the regions of the Middle East and Africa of the North. It has been constructed by EADS Astrium i Thales Alenia Space.
