The Japanese satellite of telecommunications Superbird-7 and American AMC-21 are placed in orbit from the space European base in Kurú, in the French Guayana, by means of an Ariane-5 rocket

One is the fifth launching of an Ariane-5 rocket in which we took of year 2008.

The Japanese Superbird-7, developed by Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, will be used by the Space Communications Corporation of Tokyo like successor of the present Superbird-C, and will offer service with 28 transponders in band “Ku” for movable telephony, of television by cable and connections of Direct Television for all the Asia-Pacific region.

The life utility of the Superbird-7, whose weight when taking off will be of 4,820 kilos, will be of 15 years and its spread in orbit will reach the 31.6 meters.

Constructed by Thales Alenia Space, American satellite AMC-21, of operator SES AMERICOM, also it will offer service of band “Ku”, with 24 repeaters, to the USA, the Gulf of Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean.

The weight of the satellite, whose considered life will be of 15 years, is of 2,473 kilos and its spread in orbit will reach the 22 meters.
