Nordic Satellite AB, with its system of Sirius satellites, has changed its name from the 1 of December.
The company is partly controlled by the Swedish Space Corporation (25%), that controls the Sirius satellites from its control station in the base of Esrange, to the outskirts of Kiruna, in the north of Sweden.
The name change of the company to SES Sirius AB must to the development of the company in an extended market and to new workings. At the same time, the name reinforces the bow with the main proprietor, SES Astra (75%) and the world-wide network of satellites of which the company is part.
A powerful beam of the Sirius satellite (5º This) reaches the Iberian Peninsula perfectly, where it is possible to catch with an excellent signal some of the channels that it emits.
