The television consumption in Spain was supported during 2006 over three daily hours and a half, in particular, with 217 minutes for inhabitant and day, while the women (236 minutes), the persons older than 64 years (306) and the middle and/or low classes (238) were the segments of population that more consumed these mass communication media again, according to a study published today by the company of audio-visual marketing Windward Communication.
In this sense, the infome revealed that, from January 1 until December 28, an average of 32,3 million persons was contacted by them with the television every day. Most of them preferred the visionado alone (44,6 % of the emaciated minutes), opposite to the consumption in couple (with 37,9 % of the time), and to the group one (three or more individuals opposite to the TV set, 17,5 %). Also, on Sunday it was the day with major hearing (234 minutes) and January, the most inclined month for the visionado (244).
With regard to the consumption for autonomous regions, the study pointed out that 'the most addicted to the way' were Aragon, Balearics, Valencian Community and Andalusia, while in the side of the least consuming there were located Canaries, Murcia, Gallicia and Madrid.
As for the television genres, the fiction was the format that had major presence in all the national and local chains, with a representation of 26,8 % on the whole of the expressed time. Secondly there were located the programs of entertainment (26,5 %), which include the called 'infoshows' and 'miscellanies'. Next they continued the information, with 17,9 % of the time, and, later, the emission of cultural character, which there represented 14,2 % of the minutes of emission. In fifth place there were located the sports (6,5 % of the minutes), while the rest of genres, like the contests (3,9 %), the musicals (3,3 %) or the bulls (0,5 %), registered a minor representation.
Inside the genres of fiction, the majority subgenre there were the movies, with a whole of 11.530 emission in the set of the national and autonomic chains, what it added slightly more than 18.000 hours during 2006. After these there were located the series, the soap operas and the cartoon.
Good TV results subject-matters
Leaving aside the consumption in the chains general practitioners and autonomic, the thematic broadcasting stations reached 'the best numbers of his history', with an average of quota of screen of 8,9 %, a number that it overcame in 1,5 points the obtained one in 2005. His best moments registered in weekends and in the stripes at dawn, tomorrow, and late. Also, almost 8 million persons, of average, contacted with them every day.
As for the local televisions, these reached a quota of ascription of 3,4 %, a result very similar to that of 2005 (3,5 %), what, according to the study, immerses him 'in a dangerous descents spiral from September, with the arrival of the new period 2006/2007'. The profile cualitatativo of the above mentioned chains was that of man again and matured, and his best penetration indexes registered, again, in Catalonia and Canaries.
With regard to the new systems of cable and Digital Television Terretre (TDT), the report indicated that, of every 100 emaciated minutes of television during 2006, 86,5 they were across the terrestrial system, satellite 5,6, and 8,0 by means of the cable. This way, the numbers changed of form moderated with regard to 2005, when the share-out was 91,9 %, 4,9 % and 3,1 %, respectively.
In case of the TDT, the new distribution system registered a market share of 2 % and only 12,5 % of the population contacted some minute with her. Nevertheless, according to information of the study, his screen quota grew already in December up to 3,9 %.
