Digital+ proves the High resolution in Hispasat and Astra
With a length and expanded delay with respect to the rest of the European platforms via satellite, the Digital+ Spanish initiates the emission of a channel in phase of tests in High resolution

The channel in tests in HDTV at the moment is not accessible for any subscriber of Digital+, nor so at least of which they have the decoder iPlus.

The channel test in tests in High resolution is emitting codified under the standard MPEG-4 ABC, that is the one that good part of the rest of European platforms uses in high resolution in the channels that supply.

As much in the Astra satellites (19,2º This) as in Hispasat (30º the West) this channel in tests has activated.

According to Sogecable, propietary company of Digital+, in Spain 13% of the homes already have television equipment that allows to receive in high resolution, a number that increases until 21% enters the subscribers Digital+.

The high resolution allows to a programming with greater quality of image and more definition of signal.

The subscribers to Digital+ will be able to see the new Canal+ High resolution through iPlus, the terminal of new generation adapted for this system, that Digital+ finishes sending to the market.

Digital+ is added of this form, although with restraso, to the rest of the more important European platforms, like BSkyB (Great Britain), Premiere (Germany), CanalSat (France) or Sky Italy in offering channels in High resolution.
