The Association of Users of Comunicación (AUC) analyzes the situation of the market of the new televisions and examines the benefits and perjucios of the digital television

The development of the digital television in its different systems (satellite, cable, ADSL, IP, state, autonomic and local TDT) supposes a multiplication of the audio-visual supply that generates in many cases a great confusion between the spectators.

The Association of Users of the Communication, from the analysis of the existing data in the market, has realized a valuation of the strongpoints and weak of the different supplies from digital television, reaching the following conclusions:

- The digital television by satellite, that at the moment counts on Digital+ like unique platform, agglutinates more than half of the income of the pay television and the quota of subscribers. The TDS has like main strongpoints the variety and quality of the channels including in the platform; the soccer and the films in payment by vision, and the information that offer the electronic guides of programming (EPG' s).
