Eutelsat will throw the satellite Atlantic Bird 11

Eutelsat announces the starting of Atlantic Bird 11 in the first trimester of next year with the target to offer television services in band Ku for the market of the television of Brazil

The satellite Atlantic Bird 11 will occupy the orbital position of 11th West with a bundle that will cover a wide area of South America and Central America. At present, Eutelsat has four satellites of his property that have license to operate in Brazil.

Atlantic Bird 11 will offer services of direct television to the hearth (DTH), IPTV and information of wide band. It will be provided with 12 transpondedores of band Ku with a 36 MHz band.

Between the Eutelsat projects for 2009 they represent the throwing of the satellite W2A of band C directed to the African television markets.

Eutelsat has a fleet of 24 operative satellites at present. Seven throwings are foreseen before ends of 2010. According to the persons in charge of Eutelsat, the world economic crisis will not affect the operator satelital because his future investment plans have already been carried out.
