"It is a project at which we are employed for a few years because we cannot remain behind in a matter so important as that of the bets 'online' and that, when the suitable conditions happen, will be put into practice", according to journalistic informations.
The LFP goes negotiating for months with the operators of mobile telephony, the operator of cable Ono and the audio-visual group Sogecable to develop a bets platform on the results of the professional soccer, as the newspaper 'Expansion' passes.
The bets platform would take as basic a technological system developed by the Spanish company of consultancy and information technologies 'Indra' three years ago and designed by the sports consultant Juan José Morón, ex-Marketing manager of the LFP, and it would be ready in expectation of the legislative approval on the part of the Administration.
Thus the League of Soccer tries to begin to be part of a business that generates hundreds of million euros for the houses of sports bets and of game 'online' - in 2005, they invoiced 255 million euros in Spain - and for the one that does not perceive any economic compensation in spite of being based on the results of his championship.
For the telecommunications operators the contents business turns out to be key, since in the last year it is separated and the applications for mobiles supposed close to 15 % of his entire income, approximately 13.620 million euros.
