The operation there was approved by the Council of Administration of Box Madrid at the price of 300 million euros, according to the spokesman of the Spanish socialist party in the Assembly, Rafael Simancas, who has told that the socialistic advisers of the Box voted in against, just as those of UGT and CCOO, for thinking that it is a question of a "ruinous" investment.

According to the reached agreement, Telemadrid and Box Madrid will constitute a society who will be in charge of formalizing with the Athletic one of Madrid and the each Getafe contracts of acquisition of his audio-visual rights for the periods 2009-2013.

Telemadrid has come realizing diverse negotiations in the last months so that the public television of Madrid could express again the football matches of Real Madrid, the Athletic one and the Getafe, after the FORTA was losing the contract of the soccer.

The direction of the chain pointed out that he has informed at all times about these negotiations the Representative Commission and the Council of Administration "without none of his members expressing his opposition, but his support".
