According to the organism of the UNO with head office in Geneva, the Internet address, which coincides exactly with the name of the French group of television for satellite with activity also in Spain, was offering between other resources, links (direct accesses) to pornographic pages.
The litigation started in September, 2006, when Channel + interposed a demand before the OMPI alleging that the citizen surcoreano had acquired the domain "canalplus.com" in order to obtain benefits being based on his mark and on the confusion that was generating between the Net users the names coincidence.
The OMPI thinks that the individual has not any right or interest in the domain different to sell it later to Channel +, therefore he thinks that an ill-disposed use was happening to the web site and has decided the transfer of "canalplus.com" to the French group.
The above mentioned domain was already an object of another dispute in 2002, when Latin Channel Bonus SL registered it like proper and the French group interposed a demand before the OMPI, which, as in this occasion, also it won.
