The big success reached by TCM in Spain, where it has turned, from his throwing in 1999, into one of the channels of better television received for the spectators, has led Turner Broadcasting System to offering to the public the possibility of studying in depth moreover his cinematographic experience. The result is Classic TCM, a channel that is going to base his structure on a varied and high quality programming that covers all the genres and that centers on movies produced between the 30s and ends of the 60, what many critics have given in calling “la golden age of Hollywood ”. For his part, TCM will happen to express the best movies created from the 70s until our days.

TCM Outstanding figure is going to offer to the spectators, for 24 hours a day, the best movies, the documentaries more impactantes, many of unpublished and exclusive them, and reportages of proper production that will support and complement the passion that invites us to submerge in the movies of major quality of the history. The programming will include interesting cycles that often will be offered supported by reportages that allow to the public to know interesting anecdotes on every movie, information about the shooting or information about the social environment in which the cinematographic premiere of the movie took place in his moment.

This way, Classic TCM offers an additional attraction to the cinematographic offer that the Turner channels offer in Spain, especially across TCM. The specialization of the channel will allow to the spectator to study in depth all the genres of the seventh art across the enormous bookstore of qualifications of Classic TCM, having in addition to the possibility of enjoying every movie in Castilian or in original version.

The first television event with which Classic TCM initiates his emission is “El month of the Oscars ® “, that between the 1 and on February 28 it is going to fill his broiler of Classic TCM of movies nominated or rewarded in the Oscars ®.
