As the rest of the family Hot Bird, which does number 10 will place in the orbital position of 13 ° East where from nearly 1.100 channels of television are transmitted to 120 million hearths.
The satellite has been constructed on the platform EADS Astrium Eurostar 3000 and it is identical to Hot Bird 9. In the same mission of February 12, Ariane 5 will throw it is a satellite NSS-9 for the company SES New Skies. In particular, Arianespace reckons during this year for from six to eight throwings on board of his Ariane 5.

Both satellites keep on realizing the pertinent tests before entering of official form service.
