The TDT manages to penetrate in 45 % at the end of 2008 in Spain

The penetration of the Terrestrial Digital Television Spain at the end of 2008 was reaching 45,1 % of the population and, the hearths prepared to receive the sign supposed 43,7 %, according to the last report of Impulsa TDT

This information, they demonstrate the constant growth of the TDT, and it comes increasing concerning the monthly 1,5 in the last 12 months.

The communities of Madrid and Catalunya, with 55 and 53 % of penetration, respectively, there are the only ones that overcome 50 %.

The TDT has extended his sign coverage

Also last December 31 there reached the Phase IV of the extension plan of coverage of the TDT, which the same one increased in more than one point, therefore it already overcomes 90 % of the population what means that the sign of TDT is free for more than 41,5 million citizens.

This study reflects also the knowledge of 89 % of the population of the analogical blackout and of the need of adapting the TV set. Also, 51,7 % foresees to install it soon.
