The Spanish hearths are already provided with more than fourteen million terminals of Terrestrial Digital Television, but only 250.000 of them allow advanced interactive services

This is a situation that a development of the information society prevents, there has declared José Luis Vázquez, manager of Look.

Look is a company that was born of the merger of a Spanish company and another Briton who creates and manages interactive services that allow the buy of digital contents across television, mobiles or Internet, with head office in London and commercial offices in Europe and Latin America.

In Spain, the coverage of the TDT is already in 90 % and the penetration grade reaches 45,1 %, with 14,2 million sold teams and a quota of screen that 21,9 % reaches.

You are good numbers as for the incorporation of the Spanish hearths to the TDT is resisted "by the delay in the application of an integrated plan, on the part of the different agents of the audio-visual market, manufacturers and public administration", points out José Luis Vázquez.

"Up to the date - it adds - a standard has not been reached in the recipients that allows to gain access to services advanced by television in ambiences so important as the educational, sanitary one or of entertainment, when the deployment of the recipients already reaches immense most of hearths".

He thinks that "the only way of having this services profile is that they avenge these of series o, at least, with the possibility that every user one could unload of a simple form what he wishes and needs".

José Luis Vázquez affirms that in the United Kingdom, the key has been the application of the distribution norm of recipients TDT that demands the presence in all the recipients of a "interactive layer".

This way, he tells, "all the British hearths with TDT can gain access to the services of NHS, the national system of health or, in case of the BBC, they could interact with infantile contents designed to reduce the dyslexia in the children".

In case of Italy, with a slightly regular audio-visual market, the levels of interactivity of the recipients overcome 96 per cent, with a cost for 60 euros every recipient.

For the Look manager, "there are the services associated with the contents those that are marking the rule in Italy, as it is the case of the soccer or services that allow the chains to differentiate his programs and to add new communication lines to them with the spectators".

Before this situation, José Luis Vázquez thinks that in Spain a price will have to be paid since, in his opinion, "in any of the stages that we imagine, the presence of new recipients will be necessary to arrange of the services that we are developing on other markets for chains of television like ITV, BBC, Disney or MTV".
