Timm can receive in the satellite Astra 1L (19,2nd East) in the frequency 12.633-H MHz (DVB-S, MPEG-2, MR. 22000, FEC 5/6). General practitioner talks each other of a chain with a programming with politics spaces, society, culture, fashion, gatherings, movies and series. It started last November 1, 2008 with the target to fill the "gap" in the television ambience, indicated the director of the channel, Jochen Hick.

"There are few really egalitarian countries with the homosexuals", indicated Hick, for which his channel offers not alone spaces "entertained" for the public gay, but also it will have an avenging function of the rights of this group.

According to the director of "Timm", his channel does not try to be "exclusive", although I know concentrate especially in the group gay.

"Also there are interested heterosexual men in the life style and way of the homosexuals", aimed Hick.

In accordance with his calculations, in Germany there are approximately three million homosexuals, what means that one of the ten men belongs to the group.

"Timm" continues the pattern of the channels destined for "gay" of other countries, like the United States, Canada and France, which according to Hick have given "positive results".
