Two of every three Catalan hearths are adapted to the TDT

65 % of the Catalan hearths is adapted to the Terrestrial Digital Television and the territorial deployment already reaches 90 %, according to Generalitat de Catalunya

This way it has been declared by the secretary of Mass media of the Generalitat, Carles Mund�.

In some regions the deployment is already of hundred for hundred and the number of adapted hearths also overcomes 80 % in certain cases. Until December, 2008, 24 of 41 Catalan regions had been 'lit' to the TDT and, in spite of not having fulfilled the first pronounced period, Mund� made sure that the Govern guarantees the target that all the regions have this technology in July, 2009.

"We will avoid to do euphoric declarations because we depart from the base of which it is a very complex process", he declared. In whole there are 2.200.000 hearths that have to adapt themselves or have already adapted themselves to this new technology.
