The secretary of the State of Telecommunications and for the Information society, Francisco Ros, he presided at the Sectorial Conference of Telecommunications, where a collaboration model has remembered to take forward these projects of transition, which will allow, complementing the obligations assumed by the operators, to equal in digitalis the coverage that exists already in analogical.
Ros remembered that the extension project of the TDT consists of three phases, the previous one with the realized blackout the same this month in Soria, and the first one that the analogical one consists of extinguishing in 32 projects of a whole of 90 of which three phases consist.
The meeting, in which according to the secretary of the State there has happened a support generalized to the proposal of the Government, has served to give funds to be anticipating the said coverage.
"It is a question - said Francisco Ros - of coming beyond the obligation of the operators from which the coverage comes to 96 %, deprived, and 98 % the public ones".
Although he admitted that a coverage of 100 % is difficult, "the State works so that few people who will stay out of coverage, have access to the television", pointed out.
As soon as there was agreed the distribution of resources contributed by Industry, there will be transferred the quantities corresponding to the respective autonomous regions by means of the signature of agreements of collaboration.
For the extension of coverage of the TDT there will differ three types of extension centers, the first ones of which are those surpluses of the analogical principal network of the operators deprived of national ambience, but that are not included in the stations deployment for TDT.
The department will finance 100 % of the costs of the digitization corresponding to the operators deprived of state ambience, with a contribution for 2,3 million euros, and every autonomous region will assume the costs appellants.
The second type there are the centers of agreement, of analogical system that opened by means of coverage extension agreement with the autonomous regions or county councils.
In this case, the department will finance 50 % of the costs of digitization corresponding to RTVE and to the diffusers deprived of national ambience, with a contribution of the 1,96 millions of euros, while every community will contribute the remainder 50 % more costs appellants.
The third type of centers is the analogical ones, both public and private, that were opened straight by other public or private entities.
In this case, the department will contribute 50 % of the costs of digitization corresponding to RTVE and to the operators deprived of state ambience, only in the centers of public entitlement, with a contribution for 4,44 million euros, while the communities will contribute the remainder 50 % of the costs.
This first phase of the step includes the TDT to those projects that with a population lower than 500.000 inhabitants, are provided with a high percentage of coverage in TDT and need a limited number of centers to reach a coverage similar to the analogical one.
