The channel of television European Euronews will throw at the end of this year his services to Latin America by means of a system of cable, satellite and new platforms of the distributor Eurochannel, reported the company in Mexico City. The president of Euronews, Philippe Cayla, told that the target of this company is to extend the distribution of the channel multilingüe of news in the whole region.

He added that only in Mexico, through the network of Cable television, the news channel will be offered to approximately 80.000 subscribers in Spanish, French and English in the first year, although he said that he hopes to sign other agreements with other companies.

"We have just signed today an agreement with Cable television Mexico that in a beginning will be for familiar and not basic bundle", said the executive and emphasized that the initial investment will be of a million dollars to use the sign of satellites of North America across the company Mexican Satellite (Satmex).

Cayla moved forward that at present Euronews negotiates with operators of television of pay of Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, as well as with operators of satellites to be able to sign this year other similar agreements. "Also we are interested on the Brazilian market", he added.

According to Cayla, this news channel "has a big potential and can offer a new perspective on the international actuality with interviews, informative services, quality images and that will be of interest for the hearings".
