Eutelsat and Arianespace explained in a bulletin that by virtue of the contract who have signed of the operation there itself will entrust a rocket Ariane-5 that will be thrown from the center of Kurú, in the French Guyana.

The contract illustrates the "narrow cooperation" between both entities that lasts for 22 years, and that remains illustrated with the fact that half of the fleet of satellites of Eutelsat has been put in orbit by rockets of the European spatial consortium.

The satellite "W2M", it will be made by an industrial consortium formed by EADS Astrium and the Organization India of Spatial Investigation (ISRO) and it will offer diverse services, like the diffusion of signs of television, the feeding of networks of information or the wide band.

It will give coverage to Europe, the north of Africa and Middle East of office, but also it will be provided with a bundle capable of being faced, according to the needs for the market, to Africa or central Asia. Although there has not been tinted yet the orbital position that it will occupy, everything seems to indicate that it will be that of 10th East.

The satellite has been conceived to exploit 26 repeaters in band 'ku', although his capacity will be able to be extended to 32 according to his use.

The general manager of Arianespace, Jean-Yves Le Gall, was grateful to Eutelsat for "the confidence" on having entrusted them the throwing of his satellite, and said that his consortium is "particularly proud" to support a "privileged association" with the operator for more than 20 years.

As for the president of Eutelsat, Guiliano Berreta, he affirmed that "this contract underlines the excellence of the service that there offers us Arianespace as well as his reliability, criteria that have presided at our election for the throwing of the satellite 'W2M' that will come to reinforce the flexibility of our resources in orbit".
