Canary TV is born 2, only accessible across the TDT

The Canary Television inaugurates his second channel: the Canary Television Two that will be recognized by a number 2 between the already well-known exclamations that represents Ours (2!)

It will be possible only to gain access to this television offer across the Terrestrial Digital Television (TDT) and, in principle, it will express seven daily hours of programming centred on documentaries, educational programs and interactive courses of languages.

The director of the Canary Television, Santiago Gonz�lez, admits that this offer is still limited but that it is the way of introducing to the autonomic public chain in the broiler of the digital television and of preparing itself before the changes of future since in April, 2010 the called analogical blackout will take place and all the chains will stop expressing in this format.

In these moments, the TDT, it comes to only 60 % of the Canary hearths but, "the commitment is to close the year with 80 % of coverage", tells the director of the chain who remembers the special difficulty that presents the Canary orography to introduce this new technology. This new project is provided with a shy budgetary bet since it has cost 60.000 euros for the technical connection, to what it is necessary to add the monthly payment for the diffusion of the sign. "The contents have been financed by the same general budget of the Canary Television", the director exhibits.

Holiday

The starting of this second channel coincides with the Day of Canaries and begins with the same special programming as the TVC has dedicated on May 30 although it does it with a difference hour.

Between the programs for this day, he emphasizes the presentation of the documentaries Chinijo, on this archipelago and his wealth in flora and fauna, and The Earth of my grandparents, where singing Canary Luisa Machado narrates his meeting with islanders' progeny in Havana. Also, the Canary Television will join all the islands in specially Canaries Directly where it will be able to begin to show how the Day of Canaries is celebrated in the different communities of the Archipelago.

The TVC will express different lace curtains of graphic elements with which there enjoy themselves three of the works of �scar Dom�nguez.
