The president of the chain, Andrés IzarraIzarra, underlines that this channel is "an informative service on Latin America, from Latin America".
It is a question of offering "a vision from the south" that comes out the borders of the new continent, with Europe like "the first step out of the region of America", he affirms.
"Spain, for his historical relations with Latin America, is the bridge towards Latin America from Europe and the first market to which we are coming", he mentioned on the one that was the Venezuelan minister of Communication.
Telesur began to express on July 24, 2005 with participation of Argentina, Bolivia, Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela.
From a beginning, the channel turned out to be wrapped in the polemic for his ambitions panamericanistas and the accusations spilled from the United States, Colombia and other countries, on his closeness to the governments populism like the Venezuelan, the Bolivian or the Cuban.
He trusts that the presence of Telesur in Spain is a reality at the end of year, as soon as there excel themselves the bureaucratic problems raised with the licenses and the satellites.
At first Madrid and London will be the Telesur head offices in the old continent, "although we are identifying the need to be in Brussels, for the whole topic of the European Parliament", he said.
Also he emphasized the "strategic" interest in Brazil and in the emission in portuguese.
For it, "we develop a project with TV Parana, a Brazilian local television to translate, to double and to subtitle six hours of contents of Telesur and to use his distribution networks in Brazil and to offer our chain in portuguese in the whole country".
