More than two hundred professionals of eighty European public televisions analyze until the next Saturday in Bilbao the future of the public television in Europe in 25 conference of the Confederacy that it agglutinates to the above mentioned means

The Confederacy agglutinates to public televisions of 38 countries with the principal target to promote and to develop the cooperation between his members, in addition to carrying joint productions out, exchanging programs and intensifying the journalist education and technical staff.

Between his members there are chains as the BBC, the RAI, France 3 and the German WDR. The opening of the conference covered in charge of the president of Circom and director of BBC Birmingham, Anita Bhalla; the General Secretary of the Confederacy and manager of WDR, Peter Sauer; the first vice-mayor of Bilbao, Pyrenean lake Areso; the director of Presidency of RTVE, Jesus Mari Santos, and the general manager of EITB, Andoni Ortuzar.

This year the debates in the different organized round tables center on the future of the public television in Europe. Between other questions, the taking part professionals analyze the current situation and the future of the European public television, the challenge of the new technologies, the challenges of the globalization for the regional television in the information society and the creative programs and of fiction in this way.

In the frame of this forum also workshops develop on the digital news edition in the regional televisions and technologies like the TDT, the mobile and Internet telephony.

The colophon to the conference will put the delivery of the Awards Circom to the best European productions of the year during a gala that will be celebrated tomorrow in the night in the Museum Guggenheim.
