After underlining that "the European Union (EU) and the Republic Bolivariana of Venezuela are compromised by the democratic values", the German presidency needed that "the freedom of speech and of press essential elements of the democracy are".
"To this intention, the European Union hopes that Venezuela should protect these freedoms and should support the pluralism in the information dissemination", he added the note of the EU.
