The prohibition of emission of the channel dedicated to the fashion came into force on March 29 and initially it was affecting to 60 days on having considered that his attentive programming against the good taste and the decency and it denigrates the women

The prohibition was applicable to all the transmissions of Fashion TV in the India.

In his moment and according to the Indian Government, the programs of this international channel, which expresses programs on fashion during 12 p.m. of the day, go "against the decency" and can "influence negatively the public morality".

The concrete program that provoked the prohibition was "Midnight Hot", which was re-transmitted after the midnight and which, according to the Indian Government, was proving to be "half-naked models".

After the excuses of the persons in charge of Fashion TV insisting that a system of rigid alertness will prevent in the future similar images from being able to repeat themselves, the Indian Department of Information has announced the unfreezing of the prohibition of the emission of the channel.

The same measurement was applied last January on the channel AXN, to which it prohibited to be expressed for two months for offering an "obscene" programming, as he informed then the Department of Information.

The Government denounced in particular the program the most sexy "announcements of the world", a space that, according to the Indian authorities, was going against "the public morality and the good taste".

At the beginning of February and after the prohibition on AXN, the Department of Information showed his intention of supporting a firm position in this type of questions.

The minister of Information, P. R. Dasmunsi, said then that it was "obsessed, full with seeing this type of obscene programs across the private channels".

The Government has registered till now 195 notices of violation of the Record of Regulation of the Networks of Cable television of 1995, of which an important number they were provoked by "obscene" transmissions.
