This result represents a piled up growth of 13 % in the last twelve months and of 36 % during last two years. TNS-Sofres began to measure ONO'S hearings of an independent way in April, 2006. Since then, the company has supported, month after month, his leadership as the most seen platform of TV of payment of Spain.
This strong growth of ONO'S television owes to the high and constant quality in the transmission of his sign, to his easy use and to the wealth of contents available for all the ages. Thanks to ONO'S technology – that departs from a powerful optical fibre network and that guarantees the wide band assigned to every client – it is possible to enjoy simultaneously different contents in several TV sets of the hearth.
Also, in his platform, ONO offers many extra cost products for his clients like Eye Video shop, his service of low video demands. It is a question of a new form of seeing TV, to the margin of the schedules and the broilers of the chains, and with the same functionalities as a DVD: to stop, to rewind and to advance at more speed. It includes multitude of programs of entertainment, movies, sports, concerts, documentaries, etc.
This strategy, it allowed to ONO to overcome last March the number of a million hearths that have already hired his service of television of payment. Also, in the last six months, ONO has been consolidated like the platform of TV of major growth in number of clients, with a whole of clear tall 102.000 between October, 2007 and March, 2008.
In all the stripes
In April, ONO'S leadership was consolidated in all the time zones. This way, it reached a quota of screen of 10,38 % in the schedule at dawn and of 8,31 % in night schedule. In ‘occupy first place steal’ the screen quota it was 7,17 % and in night schedule of 7,55 %.
In the same period, the platform of TV of ONO'S payment registered his day of maximum hearing on Saturday, the 5th, date in which ONO had a 'share' of 8,44 %. The thematic channel most seen in April was ‘CineStar teuve’, the channel of ONO'S movies, with a piled up hearing of more than 2,9 million persons.
For autonomous regions they emphasize Cantabria with a 'share' of 30,82 %, Comunitat Valenciana (18,48 %) and La Rioja (17,68 %). Other communities with excellent quota results have been Castile and León (14,23 %), Balearics (12,41 %), Murcia (11,31 %) and Aragon (10,15 %).
