In particular one treats MHz as the frequencies 11.728-H, 11.747-V MHz, 11.766-H MHz and 11.900-V MHz, all of them with the technical parameters of Symbol Rate 22000 and FEC 1/2, with the exception of the last one that does it with a 5/6 FEC.

These two television channels express openly in all the reviewed frequencies. Of this form SES Astra it realizes the first technical tests in this new orbital position after 4,8th East realizes the operations of change of place of the old satellite Sirius 2 from the previous ones up to 31,5th East.

This has been possible thanks to the success in the throwing and in the starting of the Sirius 4 (4,8th East), what has allowed to make use of it still operation capacity of the Sirius 2, Is provided with 32 transpondedores in band KU and has a useful life expectancy of 15 years, of which it has already covered approximately ten.

With the starting of this new orbital position, SES Astra and SES Sirius has already five different places, being those of 19,2nd East and 28,2nd East the most commercial with major number of chains of television. In whole, 13 satellites are active.
