In the second half of the decade of the 90s, the public television of Andalusia was pioneering in Spain on having thrown across the satellite
Hispasat the chain South Channel
Sat. The programming was reduced as for schedule beginning his emission at 6 p.m. with proper productions. At that time the digital television still had not started therefore the emission of South Channel
Sat was in analogical.
The experience cheered up to the rest of the existing autonomic chains in that moment and his respective governments began destining economic resources to start a few new satellite channels under the clear target and incentive to make come the cultural realities of every region to the whole European continent.
With the blast-off of the Digital, first Satellite channel, and of Digital Route later, the autonomic televisions integrated into the respective offers of two platforms of payment. The first one across the satellite
Astra and the second one for
Hispasat.
South channel
Sat was re-baptized like Andalusia TV. Also there were born International Televisió de Catalunya, TeleMadrid Sat, Channel Comunitat Valenciana (today International Televisió Valenciana), TV Gallicia
Sat and
ETB Sat. More recently and already brought in the XXIst century was born the version satellite of TV Canaries up to the recent starting during this autumn of the Asturian International
TPA.
All these channels meet the dilemma of being able only to offer proper contents, of proper production, given that they cannot damage the rights of image that yes they have for his conventional chains that only include the geographical area of the autonomy.
Of this relation of autonomic channels that
Hispasat offers openly it is necessary to reduce him to the satellite
Astra the Asturian International
TPA. All these channels are integrated to the Federation of Organisms or Entities of Radio and Television Autonomic,
FORTA, born, to 1989, coinciding with the appearance of the first Autonomic Public Entities of Radio and Television.
