The channels of half a world begin to adapt themselves to the high definition (HD, in his initials in English). The last chain has been the French M6, who will be raised to the car of the HD from October 30, when it will begin to express free with the new technology.

The new channel will come to 40 % of the French population and for May 31, 2009 it is foreseen that I reached 60 % of the Gallic hearths. Next year, the chain glides to express 30 % of his programming in high definition, inside the schedule from 16.00 hours until midnight, and hopes to expand up to 80 % in HD for 2012.

The high definition is implanted enough in the United Kingdom thanks to Channel 4 and BBC, which offer it of free form, while Sky meets in HD by means of subscription. In the United States for his part, all the important channels are expressed, already, in high definition.

Spain is late in this area. With this system it expresses in high definition Channel +, that also will throw another two thematic ones, one of sport and other of movies, with this image quality. On the other hand, some Spanish series as «The Boarding school» or «Plan America» (retreat of the broiler of The 1) are recorded in high definition although they are expressed by means of the standard system.
