The award is based on the analysis of the results of the world operators of satellites and recognizes the best result of the industry after SES, so much in growth of income as of benefits during 2006, as well as during the period 2004-2006. More specially, the jury based his conclusions on the increase of income, the growth of EBIDTA and of EBIT, as well as on the evolution of the net profit.

The SES benefits in 2006 grew 28.4 % up to reaching 1,615.2 million Euros. The EBIDTA grew 22.6 % up to 1,080.1 million Euros, while the EBIT increased 27.2 % up to 605.3 million Euros; also the net profit for 435.8 million Euros represented 27 % of his income.
