The payment television in Spain won 275.000 clients in Spain in the last year, principally thanks to the companies that give this service across ADSL - Internet of high capacity - and at the cost of the operators who offer this service for satellite or cable, which in spite of everything there keep on being the majority ones. The Spanish families with payment television add 3.5 millions, 22.3 % of the hearths.
This market share is 1,0 % superior to the previous trimester and 1.1 better than points the same period of the previous year, when there were 3.2 million clients, as it consists in the last Red.es report on equipment in the hearths. In this period, according to the authors of the report, the television on IP (Internet Protocol) has showed a very notable "" expansion, up to the point that it has gone so far as to duplicate the subscribers: of 306.000 at the beginning of 2006 to 635.000 at the beginning of this year.
The subscribers to television for ADSL keep on being the third option with 10 % of the market. The system that leads the invoicing is the satellite, with 60,2 % of the invoicing, while 2.8 % remainder corresponds to subscribers to the cable.
As for the expense for subscriber in euros, during the first trimester of the year it amounted to 3,2 euros a month, lightly below 34.5 euros for client in the previous year, what supposes a market for 315 million euros, more 22 %.
Finally, the principal motive that the interrogated persons adduce not to subscribe to this contents distribution is that "it has sufficiently" with the free television, answer that, nevertheless, every time weighs less, and is answered by it by almost five points less. Behind this motive, it continues the high price (24.9 %), which also has gone down like argument in against, and that the users "do not need it" (24.7 %). Also they lose weight as arguments that the low television consumption or his scarce interest.
The users of this service place it like the second one of the one that more satisfied they are, with 51.9 % of answers that admit to receive "greatly or sufficiently", although one year ago was affirming 52.8 %.
