From 11.00 hours of this September 25, 2007, hour in which the analogical blackout has been realized, in the Principality it is possible only to watch TV across terrestrial digital sign.

From now on, a whole of twenty channels will be able to be seen across the TDT, although this number will be extended up to thirty before 2007 ends.

The Andorran minister of Territorial Arrangement, Xavier Jordana; the president of the Andorran Service of Telecommunications (STA), Jaume Salvat, and the Minister spokesman, Juli Minoves, have moved this morning up to the top of the Carroi, where there is the issuing center of more important television of the country.

From this point, Xavier Jordana has highlighted the technological effort realized by Andorra to turn in the third European country that realizes the analogical blackout to implant the TDT.

Jordanian has told that the Government is studying the possibility that during the first semester of 2008 Andorra could open "new national channels of television" that plunge to the only public channel that exists at present, Andorra Televisió.

The minister has said that a very correct "balance" exists now as for the languages in which they express twenty channels that can be seen now across the TDT: five channels in Catalan, six in Spanish, six in French, one in portuguese and two in English.

At 11.00 hours exactly, Xavier Jordana has been the manager of extinguishing "symbolically" the age of the analogical television. A blackout that supposes the end of the traditional television after 43 years of history.

The term so that the rest of European countries implants definitely the TDT is fixed in 2015, although some of them, like Spain and France, they hope to realize it earlier, between 2010 and 2011.
