During his intervention in XXI Meeting of Telecommunications, Sebastián pointed out that the agreement between the different chains general practitioners who will operate in TDT is the target of the Executive. "We want a consensus solution and we are sure entirely that it will be throughout 2009", he said.
Last July, the minister of Industry told that "there is still time" to reach an agreement with regard to the payment contents and indicated, in allusion to the conflicting positions of several operators, that "even the most incredible disparities can finish in the most reasonable consensuses".
Only one month ago, the first vice-president of the Government, Maria Teresa Fernández of the Vega, was defending a different position. It contradicts. Then he was making sure that in the plans of the Government there was not to tackle the creation of a platform of TDT of payment. Asked if the Government would allow the existence of channels of payment in the TDT as he announced that there would do Jaume Roures, president of Mediapro, the vice-president has affirmed that this matter "is not in the forecasts" of the Executive.
Sebastián's words receive communion more with the intentions of most of operators of requesting the executive the fitting out of windows of payment inside the TDT. In fact, it has not already been done hoping to reach a consensus of all the televisions, since Four and Telecinco keeps on being opposed.
