Turksat has begun to be employed at a new satellite called Turksat 4th, which will cover the territories of the north and the center of Africa, there has affirmed the general manager of Turksat, Ozkan Dalbay, quoted by the agency.

"The area covered by Turkish satellites will spread from the east coast of the United States up to China, and also from the Arabic Peninsula up to the center of Africa," the above mentioned person in charge has added.

Turksat glides to throw offers for the 4th Turksat at the end of 2008 and throw the satellite in 2011, said Dalbay.

Also, Turksat is considering to construct one more satellite in a period of six years with software created in Turkey in its entirety, made sure Dalbay, adding that the 5th Turksat would be made of the facilities of the Turkish Aerospace industry in 2012 and thrown in 2014.

Last June, Turkey threw from the French Guyana a communication satellite of new generation, the 3rd Turksat, to replace the satellite Turksat 1C in the orbital position of 42nd East.

Dalbay showed that several national and international chains of television, in addition to company of technology, had been interested for using the 3rd Turksat.
